"Dreamer's Tryst"

"One With the Night"

"The Five Virtues"

Based on the story of Sir Gawain's pentacle with each of its five points representing a different virtue: Generosity, Courtesy, Chastity, Chivalry and Piety, this poem was written by local poet Hemlock Evergreen. It begins "From olden days there were five virtues of the pentagram of Sir Gawain’s shield, though English he was and Christian he became, perhaps some can be gleaned, and honored here…" Sized 8 x 10 inches, it comes matted with a dark green black-cored 11 x 14 inch matting or already framed in an 11 x 14 inch black frame. Featured in Green Egg Magazine. All paper and matting is acid free.

The virgin goddess Hestia (Roman Vesta), daughter of Cronus and Rhea, is the goddess of the hearth and the right ordering of domesticity and the family, who received the first offering at every sacrifice in the household.
