Greetings!

The nights are getting darker now, chill winds occasionally blow in from the north entwining its fingers and commingling with the waning warmth of summer.  There’s a special “feel” to the air now as the scents of summer slowly become replaced by the haunting aromas of autumn.  Leaves are beginning their subtle transition from deep green to amber, soon they will have tinges of orange, purple and red interspersed within.  The Autumn Equinox arrives hand-in-hand with the full moon this month, a powerful tiding of a new season ahead.  We look forward to the month of September and all the beauty and magic it brings.

September is a very busy month for us, full of festivals both near and far. The shop is gearing up for the “season of the witch” with lots of new items to bedeck your home with enchanting magic.  New spell bottles have been made up and are perched on our shelves, ready to be used for all your personal magical needs.  Crow, owl and acorn ornaments decorate our trees as beautiful old witches look upon them with their secretive smiles.  2011 calendars are in the shop, readying us for a new year that will soon be upon us.  Dark fairies will soon be here, their beauty sparkling as they become one with the night.  Enjoy your autumn and embrace all the changes it brings!

This month we have a very special offer to celebrate the season of autumn.  During the month of September we are giving free Chakra Charts to anyone who spends more than $25.00 on merchandise during a visit to our shop.  This chart is highly valued, one of a kind, that covers every aspect of the seven chakras and can be used to diagnose and treat dominate and deficient chakras.  It is five pages of valuable information printed on heavy card stock.  Celtic Myth and Moonlight is the only place this chart can be obtained.

Also, during the month of September each customer who spends more than $60.00 on merchandise during a visit to our shop will qualify for a free Reiki Class.  Reiki is an ancient practice of enlightenment and healing and works by increasing the flow of universal energy through our energy centers (Chakras).  This provides energy that our seven body systems require to function properly. 

M. Earl Ebling, founder of The Center for Universal Studies, will be teaching our free Reiki Class.  He is a Master/Teacher of Usui and Tibetan Reiki and a Grand Master of Bhaisajyaguru.  He is also an instructor of Neuro-linguistic Programming (NLP), Master of Cyclomancy, DNA Activation Facilitator and Psychic Counselor.  He believes everyone should have the opportunity to experience Reiki to make their own connection with the universe.  Celtic Myth and Moonlight is honored to have Mr. Ebling here, and we hope you will join us for this special event.

Vladimir Cucura will be in the shop on Saturday, September 4th from 11 AM to 5 PM offering his healing Reiki Treatments.  Vladimir offers 15-minute, 30-minute, and 60-minute sessions at a cost of $15.00, $30.00, and $60.00 respectively.  Please call the shop to book your appointment, or stop by to meet and speak with Vladimir about the healing powers of Reiki.

The Green Lane Scottish Irish Festival is being held on Friday, September 10th through Sunday, September 12th at Green Lane Park, Montgomery County .  The festival begins 6 PM Friday night with a kick-off concert by Tree and Norsewind.  The festival opens Saturday morning with vendors, pipe bands, highland games, sheep dog demonstrations, children’s activities and more.  Musical guests The Hooligans and The Martin Family Band are only a few of the many guests slated to perform.  The festival also opens 10 AM Sunday with more music, food, vendors and fun.  Admission is $5.00 per carload.  Celtic Myth and Moonlight is happy to be a vendor at this event, and hope you will stop by to say hello.  Our shop will be closed Monday, September 13th as we will need to reset the shop after the festival.  We are sorry for any inconvenience. 

The Celebrating Earth Spirituality Festival is being held Saturday and Sunday, September 11th and 12th at Stoudtburg Village , Adamstown.  Held from 10 AM to 6 PM both days, the event features vendors, music, children’s activities and more!  Selena Fox is the guest speaker for the event.  Admission is free, but donations are gratefully accepted.  Please contact www.readingpagansandwitches.com for further information or questions.

Celtic Myth and Moonlight is pleased to welcome Author and Tarot Reader Diane Wing to our shop on Tuesday, September 14th, from 3 PM to 9 PM.  Hailing from the New Hope area, Diane is author of “Coven” and “The True Nature of Tarot”.  Diane has had 25-years of professional Tarot reading experience, and is founder of the Wing Academy of Unfoldment, a virtual Mystery school, providing classes in the esoteric and occult arts.  Diane will be offering Tarot Readings from 3 PM to 7 PM, and will be offering a free lecture on Psychic Self Defense from 7 PM to 8 PM.  The lecture will provide information on how to protect yourself from unwanted energies.  You will learn how to identify negative energies, what to avoid, how to protect yourself, and ways to clear negativity from your auric field.  Diane will then have a book signing after the lecture.  Diane is offering special pricing for her readings that day, with prices set at $30.00 for a 15-minute reading, and $60.00 for a 30-minute reading.  Longer readings are available upon request.  Please contact the shop to book your appointment, and to reserve your space for the lecture.  Seating is limited, so please call us as soon as possible to save your spot.

The Fourth Annual Festival of the Arts is being held on Saturday, September 18th from 12 PM to 9 PM in West Reading.  Enjoy live music along Penn Avenue , and browse the local shops and restaurants.  A Beer Garden will be set up, and there will be children’s activities and much more!  Celtic Myth and Moonlight will be offering 10% off your entire purchase of $10.00 or more!  We hope you can stop by and enjoy this fun-filled day on the Avenue!

Robert Moyer will be in the shop on Saturday, September 18th from 12 PM through 4 PM offering his intuitive Tarot Readings .  Bob’s readings are 30-minutes with a cost of $30.00 per session.  Bob also does past-life readings, palm readings, and rune castings.  Please call the shop to book your appointment and let us know which type of reading you prefer.  Also, Bob is offering Mentoring Sessions on Tarot, Runes, and Palmistry.  The cost and timing are the same as above, but he will guide you into learning more about the intuitive arts.  Just let us know your preference as you make your appointment.

The Celtic Classic is being held Friday, September 24th through Sunday, September 26th in Bethlehem , PA.  This free event features music, highland games, vendors, pipe bands, food, Celtic fiddle competition and much more!   Blackwater, Burning Bridget Cleary, Enter the Haggis, Barleyjuice, Glengarry Bhoys and Seamus Kennedy are only a few of the great musicians scheduled to appear this year.  The event is held from 4 PM to 11 PM Friday, 9 AM to 11 PM Saturday, and 10 AM to 8 PM Sunday.  Please contact www.celticfest.org for further information.  Celtic Myth and Moonlight will be vendors at the show, and hope to see you there!  Due to our being vendors at the Classic, our shop will be closed Monday, September 27th as we will need to reset the shop after the festival.  We will reopen Tuesday, September 28th with our regular hours.  We are sorry for any inconvenience.
