The Rider Tarot Deck

Its the world's most popular tarot deck, and has long been a favorite of beginners as well as learned tarot enthusiasts. In 1909, Pamela Colman Smith, under the direction of Arthur Edward Waite, created an innovative 78-card deck which has become a standard for nearly every tarot deck published since. It has also been known as the Rider-Waite-Smith, Waite-Smith, Waite-Colman Smith or simply the Rider deck. While the images are deceptively simple, the details and backgrounds hold a wealth of symbolism.

"YULE: A Celebration of Light and Warmth" by Dorothy Morrison

The winter holidays are coming - and if you're like most folks - you're starting to feel the joy of the season and the magic of anticipation that always accompanies them. But do you know how they originated? Who first celebrated them? Or that Christmas hadn't even been thought of until just a few hundred years ago? Do you know how Santa Clause came about? Why he comes down the chimney? Or why he flies through the air with eight tiny reindeer? This book not only answers these questions, but takes you on a magical excursion through the holiday season. Journey through other countries and discover unique celebration traditions. Step into the kitchen and whip up a delectable holiday treat, then wander through the assortment of gift and decorating ideas to find the perfect solution to holiday woes. Jam-packed with over sixty spells, invocations, and rituals, Yule: A Celebration of Light and Warmth guides you through the magic of the season. "Everyday Sun Magic" by Dorothy Morrison

The Sun impacts your life like no other force in the Universe. He brings the day, wakes you in the morning, and brightens your attitude. He warms the planet, tends to your oxygen supply, and distributes daily doses of vitamin D. But even with all that on His plate, the Sun also finds time to bring your every magical effort to fruition. And once you learn to harness His energies and bring them into your life, worry over magical success will become a thing of the past. In fact, you may wonder how you ever managed any effort without Him! Starting with the Sun's cultural and religious importance on humankind through the ages, Everyday Sun Magic sets you on a course of magical exploration where you'll meet the five aspects of the Sun and get into sync with their energies. You'll learn the magical importance of His seldom discussed energies - rainbows, solar eclipses, and Sun storms - and how to use them to full advantage. Then it's off to explore the Sun's position at your birth, the day you were born, and how both impact your magic. Afterward, enjoy introductions to each astrological sign, learn how they empower your life and set sail to magic, and discover how to welcome them with fun-filled celebrations. But that's not all. Jam-packed with over 140 modernized spells, chants, affirmations and rituals spanning 89 categories, Everyday Sun Magic provides everything you need to grab the Sun's energy and apply it to every aspect of your life, from business marketing strategies to traffic problems. And in today's busy world, that's a sort of magic that no practitioner under the Sun can do without!

"The Craft - A Witch's Book of Shadows " by Dorothy Morrison

Although most of my other books have been geared toward a readership age of twenty and over, I get an exorbitant amount of mail from readers between the ages of eleven and fifteen. The contents of their letters vary, but in each and every one of them I find one common question. It is, of course, "How do I begin?" Because of the legal ramifications of teaching minors, I've always answered this question with the utmost care. I was so careful, in fact, that I all but skirted the entire issue. Of course, I was answering as a parent - a parent who knew full well that another set of parents might not wish for their children to embrace the Craft. But as much as I believed in parental rights, I also believed that all people - regardless of age, environment, or personal background - had the right to an education no matter what knowledge was involved. It's always been quite the dilemma for me, and no amount of pondering has ever made me feel any better about the situation. At least, not until now. That being the case, The Craft provides real information and real magical training without fear of legal ramification. Geared toward 'tweens and teens (but suitable for newcomers of any age), it offers a real book of shadows written from an eclectic point of view. Beginning with basic studies, magical theory, and training exercises, it moves forward with instructions for making/obtaining, using and working with magical tools, then builds toward Circle-casting specifics like altar setup, calling the Watchtowers, the blessing of cakes and wine, and so forth. An assortment of miscellaneous chants, spells, and invocations are included, as well as sample rituals, ideas, and recipes for celebrating the Esbats and Sabbats.

Lucinda's Web, A novel by Dorothy Morrison

Tess Logan knows magic. She knows how it works, why it works, and what it takes to make it work. But that’s not all. She also knows how to make it happen. It’s simply a part of who she is, for Tess Logan — despite all the other attributes that make her such a thoroughly modern woman — is also a thoroughly modern Witch. No amount of magical experience or expertise, though, could have ever prepared her for this. In fact, she never even dreamed it was possible: A living, breathing set of spells cast more than a hundred years ago with enough stamina to follow her into the present day. Yet, here it is, writhing and twisting with activity, permeating every sector of her life, and slipping its tentacles into the lives of everyone she holds dear. Now, she’s faced with having to disentangle each slippery strand and destroy the magic without destroying those she loves — or herself. Winner of the 2009 COVR Award for Best Visionary Fiction Book.
